Boden’s Affiliate Day

Affiliate Window once again teamed up with Boden to host their annual Affiliate Day.  The event took place last Friday, 13 November 2010 at All Stars Lanes in Holborn.

We invited our affiliates to join us for a fun-filled day of bowling in complete privacy, which was warmly welcomed by some of the lesser skilled bowlers, you know who you are.  The room came with two bowling lanes, perfect for a little friendly affiliate competition, as well as a private bar, a photobooth from our friends at Say Fromage, and last but by no means least, karaoke, here’s looking at you Oli.

Our guests arrived at the venue at approximately 12pm, ready to rock ‘n’ bowl.  After a few practices where I just so happened to score the majority of my strikes, the real games began!  The most notable of games being the head-to-head affiliate competition, something they fell into quite naturally.  The winning affiliate was awarded the prize of a £50 Boden gift voucher.  My personal favourite game was the Network versus Affiliates showdown, where the Network prevailed by slamming the opposition into the gutter.

Amongst the aggressive bowling, much fun was being had in the photobooth, with all the funky costumes that were available.  You can see the full album over on the Say Fromage gallery.

Throughout the day the cocktails flowed, which progressively brought down the performance of the bowling but increased the confidence in many to have a go on the karaoke machine!  We have Allanah from MVC and Emma from Quidco to thank for their pitch-perfect rendition of Grease Lightning, a duo that would bring tears to even Simon Cowell’s eyes.

In light of all this jest and tom foolery, Esther from Boden gave an insightful presentation on what has worked wonderfully and where she feels they are heading in the near future (France anyone?).  Boden are set to launch a brand new maternity range whilst also expanding their adorable Mini range for the kids, so watch this space!

Towards the very end of the day, Boden gave away several more £50 gift vouchers to lucky affiliates, and ensured everyone went home with a bag containing gifts and goodies.  I was fortunate enough to land me some spotty socks – everyone’s a winner!

In short, I felt it was a very successful event and have some fantastic memories to take away from the day.  I wish to thank all the guests who were able to make it, and hope to see you again next year.

Boden sincerely appreciates all of your hard work and effort over the year, so here’s to you.

All the Best!

Topman Design at London Fashion Week

Topman Design

I had the pleasure of attending London Fashion Week with the guys over at Topman yesterday.

You may remember a similar post back in September, where Topman Design featured in the MAN show for Spring/Summer 2009.

Well, this year saw Topman Design host their very own show for Autumn/Winter 2010. A positive step in the right direction for Topman, putting them on par with designers such as Carolyn Massey and James Long.

It was a full house with three queues of people eager to take their seat, amongst them were some familiar faces I was able to recognise; Kele of Bloc Party, Mr. Hudson, and of course Arcadia’s own Philip Green who spent most of his time on the phone and in front of a dozen cameras.

The range was very inspiring, with lots of dark colours and textures being coupled together. An easily wearable collection, with an edgy, industrial feel. The models looked very relaxed, with slouchy being the main focus.

Topman Design

I would definitely recommend that you watch the show for yourself, and welcome any comments you might have.

Once again a huge thank you to the Topman team for an enjoyable day.

Until next time,

Dean
